Each site has a limited number of purchased licenses that may be used to log onto and access an AccuEd Connect Site.
At no point can the site allow more active users than the agreed total licenses.
Total Licenses - refers to the total number of purchased users that are able to access the site.
Available Licenses - shows how many spots are still open for new users.
Active Users - displays the number of users currently allowed access to the site.
Inactive Users - indicates the amount of users who were made inactive and cannot access the site.
The purchased licenses are occupied by "Active Users". An active user has access to log onto the site. Once a user is invited they will be marked as "Active" even if they haven't accepted the invitation.
An administrator can make a user an "Inactive User". Click on "Edit" by their name on the user list, scroll to the bottom, and click on the "Status" button.
An "Inactive User" means a user will no longer have access to the site and will not be able to complete any additional training. However, they will have their records of training stored on the site.
If a user is inactive then they do not count towards the total number of purchased licenses. Deactivating a user opens up a license for another user.
For example: If a site's total number of purchased licenses is 10, and an admin uploads 10 active users on the site, an administrator will not be able to add more until enough users are deactivated or deleted.
If you deactivate 4 users (making them inactive) you will have four new spots. After filling four spots with 4 new active users, the site would have 14 users (active and inactive) on the site, yet only the 10 active users will have access to log on and take training courses.
If the active user count already exceeds the total purchased licenses, the site admin will need to either delete or deactivate the appropriate number of users. The site will remain unable to allow more users until the active user count is below the purchased license number.
